Announcements Week of July 30th

24/7 PRAYER
August 2-August 9 | 7:00PM-8:00PM | Contact: GC Office
God has put it on Mike’s heart (and the hearts of a number of us on staff) to mobilize the church to pray for God’s provision, especially with regards to a new home. Upon further reflection, we’ve decided to use the update-and-prayer night to launch a week of 24-7 Prayer. We’ll be reorganizing the prayer room, and focusing our prayers on God’s Provision (for Grace Chapel, as well as personally, for our community, and the world). God loves to have us partner with Him through prayer. We’d encourage you to sign up to pray. In the spirit of mobilizing corporate prayer, we’d also encourage you to sign your Group up and gather together to pray. Signup sheets will be up in the back of the sanctuary, or you can sign up here.

HORIZON CHRISTIAN SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM
August 2017-June 2018 | Contact: Sally Fischer
Horizon Christian School is still looking for 2-3 families to host male students who will be coming to their high school this upcoming school year. They have students from four different countries (Japan, S. Korea, China and Vietnam). This is a great opportunity to show Christ’s love to an international student. The school provides an $800/month stipend, paid at the beginning of every month (non-taxable, too!). If you would like to host a student you will need to provide lodging, meals, transportation to and from school, as well as a Christian family environment. If you would like to be apart of this incredible opportunity contact Sally Fischer, Program Director.

SUMMER LUNCHES
August 1-August 22 | 11:00AM-1:00PM | Contact: Lauren Pickthorn
There are a large number of children in Wilsonville who rely on the free or reduced-fee lunch program provided by the school district. When school is not in session, the opportunities for food for these families decrease significantly. To help fill that need, Heart of the City is providing a community-wide weekly free lunch program. Last year we served over 1000 lunches to members of our community! We invite you and your family to join us for this free lunch. If you would like to serve at or sponsor a meal for this program, please register here.
