What are Inside Out Sundays?

On Inside Out Sundays we throw out our regularly scheduled curriculum for the morning and spend the whole morning focusing on others. From the stage to the small group, kids will learn what it means to “be about the other person” as we love people locally and globally. Your kids have great potential to care for the physical and spiritual needs of their family, friends, community members, and all the way to children in Africa! InsideOut Sundays take place once a quarter and are something no one will want to miss!

What is our focus for Inside Out Sundays?

The following two ministries make up INSIDEOUT, our pursuit of missions both locally and abroad:

Windfield Village Retirement Home

Wilsonville, OR

Kidventure Summit’s K-5th grade students are reaching out locally to the elderly in our community.  In the coming year we plan to develop a deeper relationship with the 80 residents living at Windfield Village Retirement Home.  We have already been able to visit Windfield Village twice during our two Sunday morning services, which began a sweet relationship that we hope to enhance with continued visits.

Africa New Life Ministries, Student Sponsorship

Rwanda, Africa

Our K-5th grade students have the amazing opportunity to partner with Africa New Life Ministries to help one child in Rwanda, Africa go to school.  The students’ weekly offering will go towards the $80.00 per month required to sponsor  Jacqueline’s education.

Africa New Life Ministries (ANLM) is a non-profit ministry that’s purpose is to raise awareness about the needs of Africa.  Specifically, they aim to educate the children of Rwanda, many of whom are orphans, as well as helping widows in Rwanda.  Basic education in Rwanda is not free, therefore children must be sponsored in order to attend school.  Our hope is to connect our students to Jacqueline through letters, pictures, and even video from individuals in our body who visit Rwanda on mission trips throughout the year. What is my role as a parent for InsideOut Sundays?

		For Inside Out Sundays be sure your child shows up with their t-shirt on inside out!
		Encourage your child to bring their offering each week, not just for Inside Out Sundays so they can help support Jacqueline in Rwanda.
		Spend time with your child writing letters to Jacqueline or visiting our friends at Windfield Village.
		Pray as a family to learn how to “be about the other person” in your own community of people as well as prayer for Jacqueline, and the residents of Windfield Village.
