What is Podcasting?

Users install a Podcast client program on their local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. When new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer automatically. For example, a user who subscribes to the Grace Chapel Podcast will automatically receive our weekly sermons and special audio features, delivered to their Podcast client whenever we post new audio content.

What do I need to get started?

You need to download and install a Podcast client. Here are a few available Podcast clients:

Juice
jPodder
Apple iTunes (for Windows and Macs)

iPodderX (for Macs only)

How do I use iTunes with the Grace Chapel Podcast?

Before you begin, make sure you have iTunes 4.9 or later. Any previous version will NOT work. You can download the newest version from apple.com. From the iTunes program, locate the Podcasts link in the navigation menu and click it. At the bottom, you'll see Podcast Directory. Click here, and it will take you to the Podcasts page on the iTunes music store. On the right side at the top is a search box. Type in Grace Chapel, or similar. You should find the result, "Grace Chapel Wilsonville". From here all you have to do is click Subscribe. The program will automatically download the latest audio, and you can listen to or download more audio from the Podcasts menu in iTunes. You may also listen to individual messages directly from this page in iTunes with out having to download them.
